It can be intimidating to begin therapy, but it is my experience that most people are glad they did, and that they leave my office feeling relieved and hopeful. I am trained in Psychodynamic Therapy which offer approaches and techniques that have been proven to be most effective for many psychological issues and disorders. I am committed to providing a confidential, compassionate atmosphere, where you will feel safe and comfortable to discuss what's troubling you. Please call if you have any questions.

The first session is used to gather important information about you, such as your history, reasons for coming, as well as your goals for therapy.
It is also a good time for you to see if we will be a good match. If you decide to go forward, we will discuss and agree on the treatment goals, to make sure they are in alignment with what you want.
My office is located near Tivoli, just a 5-minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station. You are welcome to email me at info@hahnemannpsychology.dk or call me at 40223012 if you want to know more about therapy.
"You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step and the rest will become
clear".
Marin Luther King, jr.
Thought of the day What you look for you will find. A negative inner dialogue is often at the core of depression and anxiety. When we have a negative focus, we miss out on the very things that could potentially begin to thaw a depressive episode or that could wrestle the focus away from debilitating anxious thoughts. What we look for we will see. In other words, if you look for the negative, then you are more likely to find it. Here's an example of this phenomena. If, when considering buying a new car, you are particularly interested in getting a Jeep. Then I can almost guarantee that Jeeps will suddenly start to pop up everywhere. Similarly, it may seem that bad luck is out there in abundance. And sometimes you will find exactly the opposite if you can look in a different direction.
When grappling with depressed or anxious mood, it might feel overwhelmingly difficult to look for anything positive at first, but as Martin Luther King said: you don’t have to see the whole staircase, just keep taking one step and the rest will gradually appear.
Warmly, Hanne-Berit
